Deliberate or Intentional Patent Infringement is the Standard for Willful Infringement

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit held in SRI Int’l, Inc. v. Cisco Systems, Inc., 14 F.4th 1323, 1328-30 (Fed. Cir. Sept. 28, 2021), that willful infringement of a patent only requires deliberate or intentional infringement, not the type of egregious conduct required under Halo Elecs., Inc. v. Pulse Elecs., Inc., 579 U.S. 93 (2016), for enhanced damages.
